“Light Touching For Heaven in an Everlasting Mercury” is the 7th album, and 10th release overall, for Robert Crosbie / Geisha.
Featuring live guitars, keyboards, percussion, sitars, live vocals, and wall-of-sound psychedelia, each of these epic tracks are unique in approach and sound.
The opening title track has a cinematic, widescreen grandeur, with Robert’s own vocals combining with the psychedelic, otherworldly landscape as suggested by the cover artwork.
Other tracks combine funky breakbeats with deep bass and early Pink Floyd-influenced organs and guitars. All throughout, a cosmic force seems to be at play, pulling these tracks in disparate directions, but coming together as a whole when fully realized.
This album harks back to the sound of "Further / Closer" and in many ways can be seen as the ultimate Robert Crosbie / Geisha album.
