This EP/mini-album is a companion piece and taster for the upcoming Robert Crosbie/Geisha album "The Global Machine", due in spring 2022. These tracks were recorded just after the completion of "The Global Machine", and act both as a taster for the new album, and an expansion of some of the more experimental ideas previously explored.
The music continues the 1980s feel of 2021's "Afterglow"", though with a decidedly more left-field approach. Many tracks take their influence from progressive artists of the '80s, and combines an electronic pop and experimental rock sound.
Starting with the ambient funk of "Terribly Sorry", the EP moves through several moods - the upbeat and melodic "Trust", the guitar-bass duet that is "The Double", and "Winter", a throwback to the earlier Robert Crosbie / Geisha sound.
The final two tracks are a more challenging and complex experience, ending things on a more progressive note.
