Robert Crosbie is an indie-rock singer / guitarist, whose music displays a languid, melancholy mood. He is best known for his work with indie pop group Riot Tapes and is guitarist with Dublin-based psych-rockers Sun Mahshene.
Robert is as comfortable with effects pedals as he is with an acoustic guitar, and both come together to form his distinct brand of melancholy dreampop, with strong melodies, brooding lyrics, and Robert’s distinctive voice. Robert plays all the instruments on his recordings.
Robert has released three solo albums to date, “Light of the Morning” (2017), "Just That Day" (2020), and "Everything Like The Sun" (2021). These albums feature atmospheric, haunting, melancholy music, with rich guitar driven dreamy instrumental sections. Mellow and introspective, Robert's deep baritone voice has been compared with Leonard Cohen and Evan Dando.
New album is in the works, due for release in summer 2022.
