Black Coddle

Black Coddle' is the second album by Eamonn Flynn, best known as the session keyboard player on The Commitments soundtrack. Mixed by John Porter (The Smiths, Buddy Guy, Taj Mahal, B.B. King, Roxy Music, and Ryan Adams) it features contributions from musicians in both the U.S. and Ireland including Róisín O, Shay Black, Michael Black, Conor Brady, Andrew MacNamara and Chris Cain. It's a piano driven collection of original songs that draws inspiration equally from Irish music and American soul and funk.

Dublin born keyboardist, singer and songwriter Eamonn Flynn was the session Hammond organist and pianist on the 14 million selling movie soundtrack 'The Commitments'. Now based in San Francisco, Eamonn has gone on to record and tour with artists like Michael Franti and Spearhead, Evelyn 'Champagne' King, Elvin Bishop, Maria Muldaur, Coco Montoya, the Black Family and a 10 year stint with legendary New Orleans drummer Zigaboo Modeliste. In 2017 he released his first album of original songs 'The Irish Channel' and the follow up 'Black Coddle' came out in December 2019.
