GreenBirdFlying is the newly formed alt folk trio of Cliodhna Quinlan, Mark Murphy and Mandi Frankham. As a trio they perform tuneful original songs of poetry set to music that fit around many genres including traditional, old time and Americana. They have just released their first album 'GreenBirdFlying'. Each song uses the poetry of well known poets such as Christina Rossetti, Sara Teasdale, Victor Hugo and others for the lyrics.

The album contains 11 original songs and one carefully curated cover that range in mood from haunting beautiful to playfully dark. Their songs are rooted in the poetry the lyrics are taken from. These words, from a myriad of poetic sources, are given memorable melodies and rich harmonies by the band. The album also features special guest Rónán Ó'Snodaigh (Kila) on several tracks.
