THE PRICE OF NOTHING & THE VALUE OF EVERYTHING is the second album by Ireland’s CIRCUIT3.

The continued exploration of synthpop through the lens of a passionate musician and songwriter.  The follow-up to the critically acclaimed 'siliconchipsuperstar' the new CIRCUIT3 album offers electro pop and synthpop for fans of crafted songwriting, bleeps, beats & synthy ear candy.Undeniably influenced by the 1978-1982 classic era of electronic pop.

Circuit3 says “My debut album sold out... so I spent all the money on more synths.... Why not? “

Martyn Ware(The Human League, Heaven17) "The album sounds great! Glad current artists are keeping the faith with quality songwriting

"The Electricity Club" if the idea of a dystopian Howard Jones album fashioned from the roots of Synth Britannia appeals, then ‘The Price Of Nothing & The Value Of Everything’ is for you . . . this album is melodic vintage synth ear candy with a dose of gloom. "I'm keeping the flame alive for those sounds and hopefully developing my songwriting along the way”–well, as far as CIRCUIT3 is concerned, he has achieved that!"

Mat Smith (Furtherdot.com) “the signature sounds, drum machine rhythms and lyrical stylings of that era are handled with exceptional care, with the fragile mystique of a track like ‘Face In The Crowd’ sounding like a newly-discovered tape of a Reset Records session left in a dusty corner of Vince Clarke’s Splendid studio space”

THE PRICE OF NOTHING & THE VALUE OF EVERYTHING explores themes of mental health, politics, human rights, love, contentment and dreams which feature Martin Gore in leather....

SAFE TO SLEEP is the lead single from the album and was co-written with Brian McCloskey who hosts the wonderful Smash Hits blog ‘like punk never happened’. Brian woke from a dream which featured a leather clad Martin Gore to write these lyrics to which Circuit3 added Linndrum, Moog and a sample of the iconic Vox Humana Polymoog patch.

DIRTY LITTLE SECRET -References scandal and corruption in his native Ireland. “the black, the blue the uniforms... nobody believed”. Sparse use of Linndrum, Korg Arp Odyssey and Sequential Pro-One with the debut of the  Behringer VC340 string machine and vocoder on an album.

SOLD MY SOUL -At some point you have to do or die. You want to perform? Go do it. Nobody is stopping you. Write that blog, Take that photo. Tell that story.

ELECTRIC –Have you ever felt like there’s a massive joke being told but you’re not in on it?

DNA –When the black dog visits you’re paralyzed. The black dog tried to stop me making this album but I refused to let that happen. Some days are better than others.

FALL IN LOVE AGAIN –Sometimes it’s ok to write a love song. “Unless it’s you with me I don’t want to fall in love again.” That realization you’ve found happiness. A fellow-musician commented that this sounded like something from the 3rd Yazoo album that never happened. I love that person for saying that.

FACE IN THE CROWD -is dedicated to Alan Kurdi. Alan was a three-year-old Syrian boy of Kurdish ethnic background whose image made global headlines after he drowned on 2 September 2015 in the Mediterranean Sea. Surely we are better than this?

BREAKING POINT –“But you took back control? How are you feeling about it in the cold?” “Come into the city come see what you’re missing.” feeling threatened by diversity and conned by liars are two of 350 million reasonsto despair.

THE RAIN –The raindrop arpeggios from the Jupiter 4 evoke every wet Tuesday morning you’ve ever grumbled about ‘the bloody rain’. I’ve started to embrace the rain because it makes the sunshine all the brighter.

FOR YOUR OWN GOOD –Fall in line, give up your privacy and trust in the state. They are only doing this for your benefit... right?
